Lir Vaginsky

Lir was born into an Israeli family of musicians and has been immersed in music since her earliest childhood. Her first teacher was her mother, renowned cellist Hila Karni. At as young an age as 9, Lir appeared as a soloist with the orchestra of the Givatayim Conservatory in Israel. In 2014, she was invited to perform as a soloist with the Hamburger Camerata at Laeiszhalle in Hamburg. In 2015 she played with the “Unter den Linden” Chamber Orchestra at the Berliner Philharmonie, and in 2017, she joined the Tel Aviv Soloists for concerts in Israel. Moreover, Lir has been appearing in concert regularly with the LGT Young Soloists throughout Europe as well as in Israel, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. A recording with this ensemble will soon be released by RCA/Sony. Lir will be appearing as a soloist at the Tel Aviv Soloists’ opening concert of the 2017/18 season. At present, she is playing on an 1800 Viennese violin.
