Chamber music featuring soloists: a “tête-à-trois”

Our longstanding members Elena Kawazu and David Nebel recently met with great success as they charted new territory: as a chamber ensemble, the two young violinists played at the Kulturhaus Uster together with pianist and co-founder of the LGT Young Soloists Marina Seltenreich. A new face among the ranks of the LGT Young Soloists: Carlo Lay

The young cellist Carlo Lay played wonderfully at the auditions in Zurich at the beginning of July 2016 and impressed us all. Cellist Samuel Weilacher (14) won first price in the categories “Solo” and “Chamber Music”, while violinist Leo Esselson (16) came in second in the “Solo” competition. In order to qualify for the national finals, both musicians, together with 2458 other young talents, had to make it through regional and state competitions first. We are extremely proud of both of them!
