Sold-out halls and standing ovations: the LGT Young Soloists’ debut at Vienna’s Musikverein was overwhelming.
Two celebrated concerts at the Kongresshaus in Granz and at Vienna’s Musikverein formed the wonderful finale of the ensemble’s tour of Austria this March. The guest soloist on both evenings was the violinist Alma Deutscher, who has also made a name for herself as a composer even at a young age. The highlight of the first half of the concert was the world premiere of her waltz Sirenenklänge-Walzer. After the interval, the LGT Young Soloists brought the audience to its feet with a romantic programme of works by Bruch, Tchaikovsky and Sarasate. The wonderful concert evening ended with three encores.
