Despite rain and low temperatures, the LGT Young Soloists look back upon a heart-warming concert week in Israel.
In mid-February, the LGT Young Soloists spent a week in Israel. In addition to two concert performances, they took the time to appear at the Ra’anana Music Center, benefitting the Kids Kicking Cancer Foundation. Concerts for children’s charity organizations have been part of the ensemble’s mission ever since its founding. Following the motto “Children helping Children”, the young string players have given numerous concerts during the past three years, including this first one in Tel Aviv. Once again, the crowning – and wildly applauded – finale of the programme was Palladio by Karl Jenkins. Written in 2007, the work is celebrating its 10th birthday.
