Our guest performance at the Abu Dhabi Classic Festival was like a triumphant conclusion to a wonderful year of concerts or a tale from the Arabian Nights. On 14 December 2016 we shared the stage in the Emirates Palace with the Canadian composer of film music, Grammy Award winner and pianist Stephan Moccio for The Sound of Hollywood. The enchanting music that he has written – including hits such as the theme from the 2010 Olympics “I Believe”, Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball” and Celine Dion’s “A New Day Has Come”, had the audience in raptures from the very first chord. It was pure magic, and tears were shed during the encores, so moving was the occasion for both musicians and audience. There could not have been a more wonderful Christmas gift for our young soloists.
